When you register as a user we may collect a variety of information, including your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We may also collect Applicant’s or Grantee’s Name, Employer Identification Number, Social Security Number or National Identification Number, contact information, education, financial information, trade and commercial secrets, medical, criminal or employment history, and any other identifying particular assigned to the Applicant or Grantee and its stockholders, members, partners, officers or directors.
By providing any information, you expressly agree for any collected information to be used for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, to improve our services, to contact you or contact the Applicant or Grantee, for the application review process, for verifying Grantee’s compliance and for statistical or compliance purposes. This enumeration is not exhaustive and may include other implied or necessary uses, to which you expressly agree.
If you enter into a sweepstakes, contest, or similar promotion we may use the information you provide to administer those programs. If you don’t want to be on our promotion mailing list, you can opt out anytime by sending an email to email@example.com.
We also collect non-personal information − data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address, type of browser used, the date and time of the visit and the IP addresses of the locations to which the visitor linked during his or her visit to our Platform.
The Federal Child Privacy Act regulates website's collection of personal information on users under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect such information on anyone we know to be under 18 years of age. If such information is inadvertently obtained, we will take the necessary steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
The Platform does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you or the Applicant or Grantee with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
The DDEC and its related agencies take precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences, as well as the Applicant’s or Grantee’s contact information, are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your account at the Platform. For other personal information, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if the DDEC and its related agencies are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law.
The DDEC and its related agencies may update this policy at any moment without prior notification.
